Executive Management Team
Chairman - James Wilding
James is an experienced chairman and director of both private and public companies across a number of different industry sectors. His roles have included chairman of the UK’s second largest port, and Managing Director of a 1,500 employee music distribution company. He is a former partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
In addition to chairing ILG, his other current roles include non-executive director of Hamworthy plc, and non-executive director of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Group Chief Executive and Operations Director - Tom Burns
Tom is a well respected figure in the independent health and social care sectors with more than 30 years experience. Previous roles have included Chief Executive of Inmind Healthcare, Commercial Director of the Priory Group and Director of Commissioning for a large health authority as well as Business Development Director for the St Andrews Group. He has a wide range of practical experience in all aspects of forensic and non-forensic services, from high secure services to community based provision. Tom has also managed a highly successful consultancy service counting the DoH , NSCAG, and the Department of Justice as his clients, along side many PCTs and SCGs. He is currently Chief executive of both the Ansel Group and the Independent Living Group.
Compliance Director - Dan Ryan
As Group Compliance Director of ILG, Dan Ryan is responsible for ensuring the strict CQC and other related regulations are adhered to across the organisation. Prior to ILG, Dan was the Compliance Director with Inmind Healthcare; Senior Assessment Manager / Team Leader with the Healthcare Commission; Senior Performance Specialist with the Audit Commission; Senior Policy Analyst with the Department of Health and a Senior Policy Analyst with HM Treasury.
Finance Director - Geoff Lane
Geoff Lane is the Group Finance Director of Independent Living Group. Geoff has many years experience in senior finance positions in a number of high profile businesses including Inmind Healthcare, Capio Healthcare UK, Cellnet and Racal Telecoms and Racal Defence Group.
Professional Development Director - Lorraine Lee
Lorraine used to be the Clinical Director of Inmind Healthcare, and has also held the post of Hospital Director at Care Principles and PD Services. Prior to that she was Mental Health Services manager with Affinity Healthcare and Clinical Services Manager at Partnerships in Care.
Group Commercial Director - Tom Brookes
Tom is the former Commercial Director of Inmind Healthcare, and prior to that the commissioning and training manager at Cambrian Healthcare. He has also held senior sales and marketing roles in blue-chip companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Glaxo Smith Kline.
