5-a-Side Football Tournament
On Thursday 17th September, 11 residents from Hampshire homes met at Fleming Park in Eastleigh to represent ILG in a 5-a-side football tournament.
The tournament, run by CASS, was organised for adults with learning disabilities around the Southampton, Hampshire area. There was a great turn out; 9 teams in total entered to play in the competition, with ILG putting forward 2 teams. Team names were decided upon as 'Impossible United FC' and 'Hot Shots FC.'
All in all it was a fantastic day with a great end result. 'Impossible United' stole the show, coming 1st in their league, getting through to the final and winning the Runners Up trophy. Richard from the team was also awarded 'Player of the Match' after showcasing his amazing football skills in this game.
'Hot Shots' came 3rd in their league and all players received individual medals.
