Garden of the Year Competition 2009 Winners!
We are pleased to announce that Falcon Lodge are the winners of the 'ILG Garden of the Year Competition 2009'.
The competition, which runs every summer, challenges each home to work together to improve an area of their garden. This can mean adding some window boxes, installing a water feature, or completely updating the whole garden!
This year, Falcon Lodge demonstrated a team-oriented approach, getting all staff and residents involved in the project. They demonstrated their skills in planning, purchasing, artwork, and horticulture by adding several new features to their front garden. Falcon Lodge submitted an amazing entry which consisted of a beautiful scrap-book and short video showcasing their hard work and finished results.
St Helen's Down were awarded 2nd place for their imaginative entry; painting the garden shed with a bright beach scene. Ridgeway came in 3rd by making such a vast improvement to their front garden with window boxes and new flower beds.
A special awards ceremony will be held at Falcon Lodge in the next few weeks.
