Thelma Turner - Chairwoman

Thelma Turner is a highly respected individual in the care sector having been operating at senior posts for many years. As Chairwoman and interim Managing Director for ILG, she works closely with the management team to implement the company’s strategic growth plans.

In addition to ILG, Thelma is also Chairwoman for two additional care operators. Prior to these roles, Thelma was the owner and Managing Director of Thelma Turner Homes and held senior positions with other care operators and also within North Derbyshire Health Authority. 

Tom Burns, Group CEO

Tom Burns is a well respected professional in the Independent healthcare sector with over 25 years experience. Tom is the Group CEO of Independent Living Group where he manages the strategic direction of the business.  Previous roles have included Chief Executive of Inmind Healthcare, Commercial Director for the Priory Group, and Director of Commissioning for a large health authority and Executive Director of Service Development at St Andrews Group. 

Geoff Lane – Group Finance Director

Geoff Lane is the Group Finance Director of Independent Living Group. Geoff has many years experience in senior finance positions in a number of high profile businesses including Inmind Healthcare, Capio Healthcare UK, Cellnet and Racal Telecoms and Racal Defence Group.

Lorraine Lee – Professional Development Director

Lorraine Lee is the Professional Development Director of Independent Living Group.  Lorraine has over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry and was previously Clinical Director of Inmind Healthcare.  In addition, Lorraine has also held senior posts at Care Principles and PD Services where she was a Hospital Director at each.  She was also Mental Health Services Manager with Affinity Healthcare and Clinical Services Manager at Partnerships in Care.

Daniel Ryan – Group Compliance Director

As Group Compliance Director of Independent Living Group, Daniel Ryan is responsible for ensuring the strict CSCI and other related regulations are adhered to across the organisation.  Prior to ILG, Daniel was the Compliance Director with Inmind Healthcare; Senior Assessment Manager / Team Leader with the Healthcare Commission; Senior Performance Specialist with the Audit Commission; Senior Policy Analyst with the Department of Health and a Senior Policy Analyst with HM Treasury. 

Tom Brookes – Group Commercial Director

Tom Brookes is the Group Commercial Director with Independent Living Group.  Tom joins ILG from Inmind Healthcare where he held the position of Commercial Director. Previous to that he was Commissioning and Training Manager at Cambian Healthcare.  He also had various senior sales and marketing roles at blue chip organizations including Johnson & Johnson and Glaxo Smith Kline.

Richard Broughton – Service Development Director

As Service Development Director at Independent Living Group, Richard Broughton leads with the strategic direction of the services across the organization.  Richard joins ILG having previously been Service Development Director of Inmind Healthcare.  Other roles have included Director Architectural, project management and development consultancy, RBAL; Project Manager at Care Principles Ltd and Project Architect, Specialist Healthcare for Design & Build Services Ltd.
